About MIPEC

MIPEC was established as an incorporated company in 2004. What started as a very small operation with one part time employee has developed to become a large-scale business with more than 150 permanent employees and the largest privately operated facility on the Gladstone Marina. It is envisaged that MIPEC will be recognised as a major supplier of quality services into mining, marine, and oil and gas – both nationally and throughout the Australasian region.

slipwayThe facility boasts over 60,000 sq. metres of land and water lease area, with 500 metres of berthing pontoons, a 250 ton slipway, fabrication sheds, workshops, blast paint facilities, offices and Chandlery Outlet for marine equipment sales.

These facilities provide a substantial base for the company’s diverse operations, which include marine operations, general fabrication and construction, slipway and marine repair services, vessel construction activities and substantial general contracting and support activities. Find out more »

Vessel operations of both owned and chartered vessels including tugs, barges, landing craft, passenger ferries, workboats and crew boats are fully supported with operational crews and maintenance capabilities and are regularly extended to include marine construction and support activities, in particular the maintenance and installation of aids to navigation and other port infrastructure.
